Country Project

Rwanda’s Story

Since the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, the country has rebuilt and recovered, however much distrust and poverty still remain. Many people are particularly vulnerable to trafficking due to the lack of economic stability and opportunity. Many Rwandans seek better jobs outside of their communities, only to fall into exploitation.

Not For Sale Rwanda focuses on the children disappearing from Rwanda to exploitation in the Middle East. We provide educational opportunities, human trafficking awareness training, and healthcare for children that have been trafficked or are at high risk of exploitation.

Our vision is to support a clinic and a school to help care for the children at risk for trafficking. Increasing the number of beds in the hospital, partnering with medical dispensaries, and creating funding for the school to train and employ more teachers are crucial steps to creating a Rwanda where no one is for sale.
