The Zero-Tolerance Community (ZTC) initiative is a comprehensive, systems-oriented approach to eliminating and preventing human trafficking and slavery in individual communities.
What is a Zero Tolerance Community (ZTC)?
ZTC initiatives are designed to create a coordinated community response to equip and mobilize communities with the knowledge and tools needed to abolish human trafficking and modern-day slavery in their local area.

Other Ways to Get Involved:
What does a ZTC initiative look like?
Comprised of a six-pronged strategy, a ZTC initiative brings together important stakeholders and specific community groups to educate citizens, develop action steps and advance creative enterprises that create an atmosphere where human trafficking and slavery cannot thrive.
Who is involved in a ZTC initiative?
The ZTC is initiated and guided by leaders currently working within Not For Sale platforms such as the Community Abolitionist Network, the Abolitionist Faith Community and the Student Abolitionist Movement to work in harmony with other community stakeholders, agencies and officials.
How do I start my local ZTC?
We suggest that download and review the ZTC Executive Summary and meet with NFS leaders and other stakeholders in your community to talk about the issues of human trafficking locally and ways that each segment of your community can and should get involved.
You can then contact NFS faculty at ztc (at) notforsalecampaign dot org to let us know that you are interested and what steps you’ve taken to assemble your local stakeholders. NFS faculty will contact you with more detailed information on the initiative and set up a call with you and your stakeholders.
