VOLUNTEERS RESTORE JUSTICE ALONGSIDE PERUVIAN ABOLITIONIST, LUCY BORJA
Recently returned volunteer, Joshua Goins, writes of his trip, “it was personally life changing…when we went to Peru we found this group of incredible kids that had been rescued from the streets by a Lucy Borja.” Lucy Borja epitomizes the modern day abolitionist movement. Lucy runs an amazing organization called Generación, who provides social services and support to Peruvian street children – she has fought for the rights of these children throughout her life.

Working on the streets of Lima, Peru, we know that it’s not enough to rescue individuals out of exploitation and bondage. We must also equip them to create a new future for themselves — one in which they have employment opportunities and are no longer vulnerable to the threat of traffickers.
At Not For Sale Peru, we are building a Vocational Center… and providing the first round of Vocational Training as we build!
Our Vocational Center incorporates two key elements: (1) An “on the job” training model that allows vulnerable people to learn a skill while earning a salary, and (2) training that works directly in the prevention or elimination of human trafficking.
