Drew Brees helps bring a victory for children in Thailand
A different kind of football victory- to benefit children in Thailand- to report just in time for Super Bowl Sunday.
In partnership with Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints quarterback, Companies With a Mission awarded a $5,000 grant to Not For Sale for a video submitted by some very creative volunteers in their annual Super Service Challenge. The challenge aimed to inspire service by encouraging volunteers to work together for a greater purpose. Companies With a Mission exists to promote service in the workplace.
Every year, Not For Sale hosts a Team Not For Sale camp at our children’s home in Thailand. The life and energy of the camps are the committed volunteers that bring their passion and enthusiasm across the globe to participate each year. Our winning video captures the passion and dedication of these volunteers.
“We are frequently asked by people, how can I help? What can I do?” said Ethan Batstone, Not For Sale Director of Engagement. “This is a perfect example of volunteers who recognized the need, got creative, and helped make an impact.”
The grant will directly benefit our children’s home, where stateless children previously vulnerable to being trafficked have the chance to dream, play, learn, and grow. We are committed to providing an environment where children are free to create their own futures, and we especially value the role that recreation can play in the development of their dreams.
That’s why we’re excited to accept a grant in partnership with The Brees Dream Foundation. Drew Brees is a shining example in the sports world of where hard work and dreams can take you. His foundation has a rich history of giving back, with ten years of improving the lives of cancer patients, and we are proud to a be a part of this community of volunteers and world-changers.
