Farming for Freedom in Romania

Our project in Romania has been growing, and that growth means we are able to successfully transform more lives. Our Calacea farm project is 17 miles outside of our center in the city of Timisoara. At the farm, survivors of human trafficking learn to farm sustainably as job skill development, and as an important step towards personal healing.

Mothers are Not For Sale

The illegal logging trade, believed to be worth up to $100 billion worldwide, poses one of the greatest threats to the safety and freedom of the communities indigenous to the Amazon. Reports suggest that this year, the illicit industry will make victims of tens of thousands of people living in poverty in remote regions of rainforest, people like Josefina.

Research Highlights Indicators of Trafficking into the Netherlands

Not For Sale works across four continents, in regions fraught with slavery and social injustice. Often, the biggest factors contributing to vulnerability overlap from one region to another. However, the nature and incidence of exploitation are usually highly dependent on political, economic and social factors local to that region.
