HOME Soup Expands to Selling Soup at Juniper Networks
Last week, HOME soup–the social enterprise employing survivors at Not For Sale Netherlands–expanded to now feature catering! The move began at the Amsterdam location of Juniper Networks, a global technology company that has partnered with Not For Sale to create new futures for survivors of modern-day slavery.
The growth will help HOME move towards being more sustainable and at the same time will create space for additional work opportunities for survivors of slavery. The HOME internship currently offers women who were sexually exploited the opportunity to participate in a safe working environment by cooking alongside the HOME chef. As the business expands, interns will be given the option of extending their training experience by selling soup alongside NFS staff in the Juniper Networks cafeteria.
At its core, HOME soup exists to give survivors the opportunity to experience a safe working environment that empowers them to move past experiences of exploitation. Not For Sale in the Netherlands is bridging the gap between those who are at-risk for exploitation, survivors of trafficking, and those in the corporate world through HOME’s high quality, gourmet soup.
