Today is the last day for abolitionists to take part in Not For Sale’s “I Am An Abolitionist” Campaign.  Submit a video highlighting your work as an abolitionist in a bid to win two complimentary tickets to the 2012 Global Forum on Human Trafficking later this year.

Launched earlier this month, the contest seeks to engage more people in the modern-day abolitionist movement by sharing the personal stories of everyday people taking action to end slavery.

Abolitionists are invited to submit a video, less than 90 seconds long, for the competition, showcasing some of the important work being done by moms, dads, students, teachers, and justice seekers everywhere to end this global problem.

Not For Sale encourages you to film your own video in a single take using your smart phone or camera.

Here’s a guide to what you should include in your 90 second video:

How does what you do fight slavery?

How can others join you in the movement?

State your name, where you live (city, state/country), and what you do that makes you an abolitionist.

“My name is ____________, I am from ________________ and I am an abolitionist because I do ______________.”

The contest will officially close to entrants this evening. Abolitionists will then have just 1 week to vote for their favorite video on Not For Sale’s Facebook page. Not For Sale Staff will choose from the finalists, and the winner will be announced and notified during the first week of February.

The grand prize will include two complimentary tickets to attend the 2012 Global Forum on Human Trafficking in Sunnyvale, California later this year, and $100 gift certificate for the Not For Sale Store. If you’re  passionate about the anti-trafficking movement and would like to engage a friend, mentor, or family member, then this is the perfect opportunity.

The top videos will also be featured on the Not For Sale website and during the Not For Sale Tour.
