ASIA PACIFIC FORUM: Creative Solutions for Ending Slavery

Not For Sale invites you to participate in the debut 2011 Asia Pacific Forum on Human Trafficking. The forum accompanies Not For Sale’s recent launch of bases in Korea and Australia and is modeled after successful forums in the United States.

The Asia Pacific region is yet another area of the world where human trafficking is rampant; for too many it is a central part of their everyday life. Creating a future free of human trafficking requires recognition, collaboration, innovative thinking, and immediate action. Not For Sale wants your help to successfully execute sustainable solutions to end modern-day slavery in this region, which can then be replicated elsewhere.

To that end, we are asking abolitionists across the globe to gather with us on November 2-3, 2011 to address this issue in the Asia Pacific region.

For two days, abolitionists, community leaders, and regional experts in the areas of law, government, media, and civil society will convene to discuss and explore creative solutions that will enact a cultural shift in the Pacific Rim. Speakers include David Batstone, President and Co-founder of Not For Sale, Cecilia Flores-Oebanda, Founding President and Executive Director of Visayan Forum Foundation, Bishop Efraim Tendero, the National Director of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches, Kru Nam of Not For Sale Thailand, and many more global leaders.

The event will take place at the Lotus Hotel Pang Suan Kaew in Chiang Mai, a beautiful city in Northern Thailand.

Help us enact a cultural shift that will protect the freedom of everyone in this vast region.

There are real solutions to this real problem. You can be part of the solution.
