“Let Them Be Free”: T-Shirt Campaign Huge Success!

The Not For Sale Store enjoyed record-breaking success with its latest high-profile T-shirt campaign.

In September, the store joined forces with Sevenly.org to launch the organic funding model’s first cause-produced T-shirt campaign.

Final figures show that the limited-edition Not For Sale T-shirts were a huge hit with abolitionists across the globe.

Some 1,510 of the black and white t-shirts, emblazoned with unique feather designs, were sold during the weeklong campaign, which ran from September 12th to 19th.

Such was the popularity of the shirts that Not For Sale set and met three different sales goals over the course of the campaign.

And a total sum of $10,570 was raised for Not For Sale, officially making it Sevenly’s most successful campaign to date.

Sevenly is an organic funding model designed to raise capital and awareness for the world’s greatest causes. For every shirt purchased, seven dollars go to the website’s charity of the week.

The partnership marked a step in a new direction for Sevenly, as it was the first time it used T-shirts produced by people directly affected by the issue it was highlighting. Not For Sale’s signature Cambodia T-shirts were printed with the unique design created by Sevenly for the campaign.

Not For Sale Campaign Manager Jamee Herbert said, “I am blown-away by the response of both the Not For Sale and Sevenly communities to this campaign.

“For Not For Sale, this was our first limited-edition, grassroots T-shirt campaign. For Sevenly, it was their first campaign in which the T-shirts themselves were an action for the cause. The combination was unstoppable. We are thrilled about the prospect of partnering with Sevenly more in the future.”
