Kru Nam, the Abolitionist who inspired the Not For Sale Campaign, was surprised by a check for $155,000 to build the desperately needed dormitories for kids rescued out of slavery and situations of extreme vulnerability in Thailand. To add to the excitement…. contributions from the Abolition Concert the night before the Global Forum and a last minute gift of $23,000 from a family foundation put the total for Kru Nam’s kids at an astounding $180,000 — the EXACT amount needed to build the dormitories.
