The Jefferson Award was established with the intention of creating a Nobel Prize for community and public service. It is given by the All Stars Helping Kids, a nonprofit organization founded by NFL Hall-of-Famer Ronnie Lott in 1989 “with the goal of promoting a safe, healthy, rigorous learning environment for disadvantaged kids in low-income communities.”
You have until Nov. 15 to vote for Jeremy on the All Stars Helping Kids website. Five finalists will be chosen in each of two categories: Outstanding Athlete in Service and Outstanding Athlete as a Newcomer in Service. One athlete in each category will be awarded a national Jefferson Award for Public Service next June. Read more about Jeremy here.

In Northern Uganda — building schools for former child soldiers, providing the children with safety and education. And in Oakland, California, teenage girls rescued from the sex industry now take part in a rollerblade club created with Free2Play gifts.
