Not For Sale President, David Batstone joins world leaders for session on human trafficking
New York, NY – Tomorrow afternoon Not For Sale Campaign president, David Batstone, will lead a break-out session on human trafficking at the Fifth Annual Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in New York City. Batstone will join anti-trafficking practitioners from around the globe as a leader on the subject of modern-day slavery. The session is part of the human capital segment of CGI. The session will focus on leadership and solutions to end human trafficking and forced labor.
Since its founding in 2005 by former President Bill Clinton, more than 80 current and former heads of state; hundreds of leading CEOs, philanthropists, and NGO leaders; and 10 of the last 16 Nobel Peace Prize laureates have attended the Clinton Global Initiative. This year, President Barack Obama and leading voices from every sector will take action on solving four major global challenges: innovation, infrastructure, human capital and the global economy. For more information, visit www.clintonglobalinitiative.org.
Among the many global leaders, Batstone will be joined at CGI by Lou de Baca, ambassador-at-large to monitor and combat trafficking in persons, U.S. Department of State, and David Arkless, president of global corporate and government affairs, Manpower, Inc. De Baca and Arkless will again be joining Batstone early next month, Oct. 8-9, at the Not For Sale Campaign’s first Global Forum on Human Trafficking in San Diego, Calif.

ABOUT THE NOT FOR SALE CAMPAIGN
Founded in 2006 by Dr. David Batstone, Mark Wexler and Dr. Kique Bazan, the campaign equips and mobilizes Smart Activists to deploy innovative solutions to re-abolish slavery in their own backyards and across the globe. NFSC was created after Batstone authored Not For Sale: The Return of the Global Slave Trade and How We Can Fight It and is now a movement of thousands internationally. The organization supports partners in many countries who serve vulnerable populations and who are directly involved in stopping international human trafficking. In addition, the Campaign has more than 40 state and region directors in the U.S. and Canada working to mobilize a concerted grassroots response to the issue. More information about the NFSC can be found at www.notforsalecampaign.org. NFSC is a 501c3 non-profit corporation based in Montara, Calif.
