Not For Sale is built on the belief that every person has skills to contribute to end modern-day slavery. We created the fellowship program as a unique platform to engage individuals who wish to devote six months of their lives to play a part in changing history and ending slavery.
Our Fellows are invited to join us in Half Moon Bay, CA to learn how to live out their vocation of abolition and freedom. At Not For Sale, our goal is to end slavery in our lifetime. This goal guides our vision, purpose, and principles. To achieve this goal, we commit to executing on all projects with integrity, diligence, passion, and creativity. Fellows are expected to take initiative on assigned projects, pioneer new programs, develop current programs, and facilitate the growth of key NFS programs as we work to create new futures for survivors of modern-day slavery.
It is a six-month program designed to enhance one’s professional experience working in an entrepreneurial focused, grassroots, abolitionist campaign.
NFS demands a high level of professionalism and responsibility of all of its fellows, and is committed to providing meaningful training and leadership development for all fellowship participants.
This is an unpaid fellowship, but is an exceptional opportunity to gain experience at an international non-profit with the ambitious mission to end slavery in our lifetime while pursuing a vocation as an abolitionist.
The Fellowship is an unpaid six-month intense training course. Fellows raise support for their living expenses by reaching out to their families and friends. Oftentimes, we have fellows from various parts of the world that do not have an extensive support network. Consider sponsoring a fellow for their six months by CLICKING HERE.

Testimonials
“All I knew was I wanted to be a modern-day abolitionist, and I hoped Not For Sale could teach me how. What I wasn’t expecting was how infectious the passion, commitment and vision I encountered would be. While I have learned very practical tools when it comes to combatting slavery; like how to recognise slavery in it’s many different forms; how to investigate cases; how to consume more responsibly; how to raise awareness that leads to engagement of the issue; how to work with government, private enterprise, and different forms of civil society to combat slavery more effectively; how to reach out to different communities to use their strengths, talents and resources to be better equipped for the fight – one of the most enduring lessons I’ve learned as part of this fellowship experience is that any efforts will be very limited in its effectiveness without relationship.”- Rebecca Lowe
“I am thrilled and grateful that as I end this fellowship training, I am filled with hope, more vision and knowledge. Thanks to all the staff and executive team of the Not For Sale Campaign for this great opportunity”- Davy

“In just four weeks I have learned more about human trafficking and the modern-day abolitionist movement than in my entire four years studying social justice at university”. -Katie Bergman
“This fellowship has afforded me the opportunity to assist the Chief Investigator as the Slavery Map Moderator, assist the International Director, and develop key educational curriculum. Also, I attended two academies, the Global Forum and Soulfest in New Hampshire”- Benita Hopkins
